Pakistan’s attack claim on Adampur airbase proved to be false; PM Modi himself visited—India gave a befitting reply.

New Delhi:

Pakistan alleged that it has destroyed the runway totally by firing a missile at Adampur Air Force Base in Punjab, and this base will not be operational for a year. Not only this, the Pakistani Army further stated that its Chinese-made JF-17 fighter aircraft have also eliminated India’s Russian S-400 missile defense system. Pakistan further claims that it also destroyed many fighter aircraft and radar installations and killed 60 Indian troops.

But Indian government officials informed NDTV that all these allegations are absolutely false and made up. To them, the satellite images produced by Pakistan are photoshopped and fake. Actually, Adampur Airbase was instrumental in halting the drone and missile attacks dispatched by Pakistan last week.

The most decisive rebuttal for this false statement came from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself—he went and personally visited the Adampur airbase this morning, greeted the soldiers stationed there, and paid respect to their bravery. The showstopper for this visit was that the S-400 missile defence system could be seen visibly standing right behind where PM Modi was standing, which clearly proves that it is absolutely safe and operational.

This was the first time a picture of the S-400 system has been released. India now possesses three squadrons of S-400, and two more are yet to reach the country. Sources stated that the S-400 system downed several of Pakistan’s missiles mid-air last week.

What did PM Modi say?

Prime Minister Modi posted on social media website X (formerly Twitter),

“Today I went to Air Force Station Adampur and greeted our air warriors and soldiers. It was a unique experience for me.”

He also added that India would always be thankful to its armed forces and pay tribute to their bravery.

As per the government sources, PM Modi landed at Adampur airbase at 6:15 am and remained there for approximately one hour. This clearly indicates that the runway is absolutely okay and there is no damage, as Pakistan is alleging.

Pakistan’s counterattack and India’s retaliation

Pakistan conducted these attacks in retaliation against India’s military operation referred to as ‘Operation Sindoor,’ conducted in retaliation against a terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Kashmir. Pakistan attempted to attack Adampur as well as Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir and military camps in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and the general public in Firozpur in Punjab.

But the Indian Army claims the damage was very slight. At the same time, India has also claimed that the Pakistani army attacked schools and hospitals, but Pakistan has dismissed this.

India also published satellite photographs of its assaults in Pakistan, wherein destruction of the minimum 11 airbases of Pakistan is unmistakably evident. These include major bases such as Noor Khan Airbase (Rawalpindi), Mushaf (Sargodha), Shahbaz (Jacobabad), and Bholari (Thatta). All these airbases are major bases of headquarters of the Pakistan Army and are the principal centers of activities of the Air Force.

The Indian Air Force has totally devastated Pakistan’s technical infrastructure, command centers, radar installations, and weapon stores in these strikes.

Operation Sindoor—India’s New Policy

India conducted targeted strikes on 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan and POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir), which has been dubbed ‘Operation Sindoor.’ While speaking to the nation on Monday evening, Prime Minister Modi stated that this action is part of India’s new policy against terrorism.

In response to these steps taken by India, Pakistan struck back for three nights successively, upon which a ceasefire was established with the intervention of US President Donald Trump.

PM Modi has issued a warning that if Pakistan violates this ceasefire, ‘Operation Sindoor’ will again be launched. He further clarified that now there will be no negotiations with Pakistan until and unless it halts terrorism support and hands over PoK to India.

Conclusion:

In contrast to Pakistan’s allegations, India’s Adampur airbase is fully safe and operational. The visit of the PM and the deployment of the S-400 are the largest evidence of this. India has also responded strongly to Pakistan, and clarified that now a new policy has been followed against terrorism – and India will not retreat.
