No major design changes are expected this time, as the Apple Watch Ultra is still quite new in the market. But the display will be made bigger and the bezels thinner. According to reports, its resolution will be 422 x 514 pixels, which is better than Ultra 2. That is, you will get an even sharper and more immersive display.
2. LTPO3 OLED display technology
Apple gave the LTPO3 OLED display to the Watch Series 10 last year. Now the same technology is being brought in Ultra 3 as well. This will make the display even brighter, smoother and battery efficient. The special thing is that the Always-On Display will now look more natural and will also consume less battery.
3. Better visibility and brightness
The new display will be up to 40% brighter and will also work at low brightness up to 1 nit. This means that whether in sunlight or in the dark of night, you will always get great clarity of the display.
4. New S11 chip
Ultra 3 will have the S11 processor. There will not be much difference in performance because its base technology will be the same as the S9 and S10. But its size will be smaller, which will provide extra space for the battery and other parts. That is, users can get a little better battery backup.
5. Satellite connectivity—the biggest upgrade
Apple is going to provide satellite connectivity in the Ultra series for the first time. With this, you will be able to send Emergency SOS when you do not have a cellular or Wi-Fi network. This feature will be especially beneficial for those who go on trekking, hiking or adventure.
6. Messaging without a network
If a feature like iPhone is provided, then Ultra 3 users will also be able to send normal text messages through satellite. That is, you will remain connected even in places like forests, mountain or deserts.
7. Blood pressure monitoring
Apple has been working on health features for a long time and this time blood pressure tracking can come in Ultra 3. However, it will not give direct readings (such as systolic/diastolic) but will only show trends and alerts. This will help to detect problems like hypertension in advance.
8. 5G connectivity
Ultra 3 will use 5G RedCap chips, which are designed for wearables. These will be faster than LTE and will provide better network stability but will not affect the battery much.
9. Fast charging
Ultra 3 will have a new charging coil and metal back panel. This will increase the charging speed significantly. Just like Series 10 gets 80% charged in just 30 minutes, Ultra 3 will also charge faster than before.
10. Launch date and pre-order
Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be introduced on September 9. According to reports, pre-orders will start from September 12 and it may be available in stores by September 19.
