OpenAI has launched a new “Agent Mode” in ChatGPT, which will now not only talk but also do things for you—like checking the calendar, planning recipes, or searching for content online.

In a demo video, the OpenAI team showed that Agent Mode was given a long instruction—like finding clothes according to the dress code, suggesting hotels, and planning buffer days around dates.

This new feature is currently rolling out to users with Pro, Plus and Team plans—that is, it is a premium feature.
6. Combination of Operator + Deep Research:
Agent Mode is a combination of two powerful tools that OpenAI already has—Operator (which browses the web) and Deep Research (which creates in-depth reports)—and brings them together.

OpenAI admits that this feature comes with risks—such as bad decisions, data privacy, and some tasks, such as bank transfers, which Agent Mode will refuse.
