Indian Smartphone Market Booms Again! The smartphone market in India has hit the new height in the recent festive season of this year. With an IDC report, smart phone shipment in India increased 4.3 percent in the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025) and 48 million units were sold in total – the highest level in the past 5 years.

8. Domination by Qualcomm is augmented:

  • The phones with Qualcomm chipsets gained demand by 17.9 percent to take the market share to 29.2 percent, whereas MediaTek dropped its market share to 46 percent.

9. Premium phones thrive:

  • There was a huge 43% increment of the “premium” phones that were over US 600 and 52.9 percent of the growth of the super-premium (US 800 and above) phones. Such models as the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S24 Ultra continued to be at the top.
