Tuesday brought Riteish to his attention at X (formerly Twitter) to announce the trailer will hit today and reply his ‘extraordinary trailer’ reaction. Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh, his wife and similarly an actor, also plays an important role in the film. The controversy regarding the postponed trailer launch was politically related to India and Pakistan affairs.
Sitaare Zameen Par is the spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par. The film introduces 10 children as first-time actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Directed by R.S. Prasanna-identified for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan-with the screenplay of Divy Nidhi Sharma.

Talking about Sitaare Zameen Par in conversation with his fan club in China, Aamir said: “It thematically goes ten steps ahead. It talks about differently-abled people. It’s about love, friendship and life. Taare Zameen Par made you cry, but this film will make you smile through comedy. The theme is the same, but it’s a comedy.” He also told how the film is a remake of the Spanish film Champions.
Sitaare Zameen Par is made under Aamir Khan Productions, which stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles. The lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the music score is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
