The Galaxy Z Flip 7 now comes with a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED display, which is much larger than the 3.4-inch screen of the Flip 6. This makes it easier than ever to read notifications, view messages and preview photos. However, Samsung has not allowed all apps to run on this large screen by default.
2. Comes with One UI 8 but there are limitations—
The phone has the latest One UI 8 software, but only a few select apps run on the out-of-the-box cover screen. This means that you are not able to take full advantage of the large screen, especially for needs like navigation or multitasking.
3. Unlock full power with the MultiStar app—
This is a special module of the Good Lock app, which gives real power to the cover screen of your Flip 7. After installing it, you can run almost any app on the cover screen, which increases the practicality of the phone manifold.
4. Google Maps is also on the cover screen.
Without MultiStar, apps like Google Maps do not run on the cover screen. But after installing this module, you can see the navigation directly on the cover screen, which eliminates the hassle of opening the phone every time.
5. MultiStar installation process—
First of all, open the Galaxy Store and download Good Lock. Then go to Settings > Advanced Features > Labs and turn on the necessary toggles. These steps may seem a bit technical, but once done, the functionality of the cover screen changes completely.
6. Necessary toggles of Enabling Options—
Turn on Multi window for all apps. Use main screen navigation on the cover screen and apps allowed on the cover screen. These settings make the cover screen ready for more apps and features.
7. Select apps in MultiStar—
After installing MultiStar, you will get a list from which you can choose which apps to run on the cover screen. It offers full customization, allowing you to choose the apps that best suit your needs.
8. Add Launcher Widget –
Activate the Launcher Widget in MultiStar and place it on the cover screen. This will give you instant access to your favorite apps without opening the phone.
9. Benefits of my favorite apps—
I have set Google Maps, Gmail and WhatsApp on the cover screen of my Flip 7. This allows me to view navigation, read important emails and quickly reply to messages even while on the go.
10. Keep in mind—
Although you can run almost every app with MultiStar, some apps are not fully optimized for the cover screen. Still, this feature makes everyday use of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 much better and easier.
