Salman Khan Talks About Sikandar on Bigg Boss 19

On the weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan talked about his movie Sikandar, apparently covering the very rare flicks that were considered the least performing of Salman; he mocked A.R. Murugadoss. However, Salman’s rather original approach told one that he had no regrets at all about Sikandar as it proved to be quite a strong one in story and emotional aspects.

What Went Wrong with Sikandar?

Strangely, it took both the critics and the audience time to come around to the release of Sikandar. Some said that irrespective of the presence of Salman Khan, the film never really caught their interest in terms of story, thus getting an average box office collection; in fact, many critics voiced it as the weakest film of Salman’s career.

When it comes to Salman Khan, he has always been rather vocal concerning whatever work and decisions that he has taken in his life; he would say that every film comes along with its own experience; failure teaches at least something. In that sense, Sikandar came along, and therefore it got the criticism. Salman accepted that criticism but assertively stated that the film was quite good in itself, although the execution could have been done better.

Salman Khan Talks About Bigg Boss 19 Query

In Weekend Ka Vaar of Bigg Boss 19, comedian Ravi Gupta was addressing him as a guest. He asked him, “Are there any films you regret in retrospect?”

Salman smiled and said:
“Oh, absolutely, if we talk about the not-so-good-old films Sooryavanshi at 1992, Nischay at 1992 would come first into my mind,” giving a thumbs down to the majority of his earlier works.

However, when the discussion turned to whether he regretted any of his recent films, he was quick to answer:
“None of the new ones . . . People say Sikandar, but I don’t agree. It had a great plot.”

So, one could assume that this statement somehow leaves behind the notion that Sikandar’s debacle did not hit Salman’s confidence at all.
“Not all movies might earn rave reviews but every movie teaches a lesson in a different way,” he added. “Sikandar taught me patience and endurance.”

In this statement, Salman Khan seems to consider the rest of his career other than box-office success, and so there is something to learn from each film he does.

Salman Khan: A Self-Assured Man Concerning His Future

Salman currently has a few big projects lined up after Sikandar. Apparently, gossip in the industry claims that in his next film, he will portray a completely different character from what he has been doing all this while.

Truth be told, Salman sees the failure from Sikandar not as an end, but a new beginning.
“Whatever I do, I do whatever my heart says. Every film I do, I do it with all honesty,” Salman said.

Concluded

Salman Khan, once again, has proved that he is not just a superstar but a figure of passion as well. Shooting right till the end, with injuries; taking criticisms sportingly even though respecting his team, this is Salman Khan.

His words in Bigg Boss 19, “I broke my ribs,” is something more than a joke; it could serve as a teaching to real artists regarding work ethic and commitment.

And now, Salman Khan has proved once again that he is a true hero, not just on screen but everywhere in life.
